I’m pleased to wish Carlos Rocha Silva, Dreams Uncorporated, SYCK, and the entire team at Modus Games on the release of Cris Tales, an homage to JRPGs of the past that seeks to finds its own place in the canon with a striking art style and ambitious time mechanics.

It’s the full release of Mohawk Games’ epic new strategy game, Old World, an Orders-driven journey through a history of your own creation. Available on the Epic Games Store, Old World allows players to build a dynasty defined by the ambitions and personalities of the rulers, their families, and the parasitic cronies that encircle the throne. It’s a ton of fun and full of the next-turn re playability that drives the very best 4x games.
I’m extremely proud to be part of the Mohawk Games development team and to have played a part in bringing this unique version of history to life. I want to offer my heartfelt congratulations to the programmers, designers, artists, and writers who spent the last several years crafting a truly special game. You will always have my admiration and respect, and I feel fortunate to be counted among you. :)
Now go play Old World! I’ll see you on the battlefield… err, in the embassy. Whatever your style.
UPDATED 7/5/21: PC Gamer Review: While it’s not a huge surprise, I’m really happy to see that PC Gamer awarded Old World with a deserving 87/100, which is excellent, especially considering all that Mohawk Games plans to do with the title in the coming months and years.

Today at 11:00 a.m. EST, Old World from Mohawk Games became available for purchase on the Epic Games Store. This is the Early Access version of the game, and it will continue to evolve and improve in the coming years. That being said, it’s a wonderfully complete and polished product at this stage, and… it’s dangerous. If you’re at all stingy with your free time, beware.
